New Hampshire’s attorney general, John Formella, launched a criminal investigation into Texas firm Life Corp, accused of orchestrating thousands of AI-generated calls impersonating President Joe Biden ahead of the state’s primary election.

A cease-and-desist order was sent to the telecom company. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has ordered Lingo Telecom to stop allowing illegal robocall traffic.

Formella announced the investigation to halt violations of voter suppression laws in the state.
