Jaguar plans to produce several electric vehicles, including a four-door GT expected next year|@Jaguar|X

Weeks after Jaguar released a video debuting its rebranding, the British carmaker revealed an all-electric concept car, Type 00. The showcase is part of its transformation into an electric-only luxury carmaker.

Marking a departure from Jaguar’s sporty cars and SUVs, the vehicle features a minimalist yet bold design, sleek lights and large wheels. It showcases Jaguar’s new “Copy Nothing” design philosophy.

The carmaker plans to produce several electric vehicles, including a four-door GT expected next year. The company claims the production model will offer a range of up to 430 miles and rapid charging capabilities.

However, Jaguar’s rebranding efforts, which included a promotional video featuring models but no cars, drew criticism. The carmaker’s decision to remove the leaping cat emblem also faced backlash.

Jaguar has rejected claims of being “woke” and defended its approach.

The backlash is the latest challenge for Jaguar, owned by India’s Tata Motors, which paused UK sales to prepare for its 2026 relaunch.
