Boeing made its “best and final” offer to its 33,000 factory workers on Monday and agreed to a 30% wage increase over four years. But the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) rejected it.
The proposal also included a performance bonus, improved retirement benefits and a doubled ratification bonus of $6,000 if accepted before Friday midnight.

Meanwhile, Boeing, facing pressure from the ongoing work stoppages, has begun furloughs and hiring freezes.
