Over 800 firefighters in Southern California battled the fast-moving Mountain Fire that has destroyed over 130 structures and forced 10,000 evacuations.
Fueled by strong winds, the fire has scorched 20,000 acres in Ventura County. By Friday, containment was at just 7%.
Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency, enabling quicker resource access and announced federal aid for firefighting efforts.
The fire continues to threaten rural communities, with at least 10 injuries reported, mostly from smoke inhalation. The cause remains under investigation.
