Nearly $9 billion in federal grants and contracts to Harvard University are under investigation by the Trump administration over how the Ivy League has handled on-campus antisemitism.
The review will be conducted by the Joint Task Force to Combat Antisemitism over funds, including $255.6 million in current contracts and $8.7 billion in grants spread over multiple years.
Harvard was among the campuses that faced pro-Palestinian protests last year, which caused nationwide disruptions to classes, semesters and exams.
The investigation follows weeks after President Donald Trump slashed $400 million in federal funds to Columbia University over its handling of pro-Palestinian protests. The college conceded to the administration’s demands to regain access to funds.
