A Virginia judge on Wednesday rejected actress Amber Heard’s request to set aside the $10 million judgment awarded in favor of her ex-husband, actor Johnny Depp.
Heard’s lawyers told Judge Penny Azcarate that one of the jurors had served improperly during the highly-publicized defamation trial that ended last month.
Azcarate ruled that there was “no evidence of fraud or wrongdoing” by the juror, noting that both sides had accepted all jurors at the start of the trial.
In June, The Pirates of the Caribbean star Depp, 59, won the defamation trial filed against Heard, 36, for an opinion piece she wrote for The Washington Post about being a victim of domestic violence.
