In a dazzling display of music and technology, U2 electrified the grand opening of the world’s largest LED screen in Las Vegas, Sphere, with a two-hour powerhouse performance on Friday night.
The globe-shaped venue, standing at 366 feet, hosted over 18,000 attendees who were treated to a visual feast of kaleidoscope images, a burning flag, and the iconic Vegas skyline.
Celebrities, including Oprah and LeBron James, joined the spectacle as U2 showcased their 1991 album “Achtung Baby” and rocked hits like “Mysterious Ways”, “Desire” and “Atomic City”.
Frontman Bono paid homage to the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, Elvis Presley, and recognized drummer Larry Mullen Jr.’s absence.
The three-time Grammy winner ended the night on a high note with a radiant display of nature’s wonders and the anthem “Beautiful Day”.
