Veteran actor Donald Sutherland, 88, known for his roles in M*A*S*H, the Hunger Games franchise, Animal House and Klute, passed away yesterday in Miami after a long illness, his son, actor Kiefer Sutherland, informed on social media.
Born in Canada in 1935, Sutherland quickly became one of Hollywood’s most versatile leading men in the 70s.
He won the Best Supporting Actor Emmy for his role in 1995’s Citizen X and was nominated for nine Golden Globes during his career, winning two.
