Athlete brothers Travis Kelce and Jason Kelce have signed a three-year deal reportedly worth over $100 million with Amazon’s Wondery for their podcast New Heights.

It is a big deal
Travis’s football contract with the Kansas City Chiefs pays him $17.1 million a year, and Jason’s last salary with the Philadelphia Eagles was $14 million before he retired.

The podcast started in 2022 and mostly features friendly sports banter between NFL players, pop culture content, and interviews. It gained more subscribers after Travis began dating pop star Taylor Swift.

What’s in the deal?
Wondery gets the rights to distribute and sell ads for audio and video versions of the show. New Heights will remain available on Spotify, Apple, YouTube and Amazon Music.

The deal follows other significant podcast contracts this year.

SiriusXM nabbed Alex Cooper for $125 million for her podcast Call Her Daddy. Joe Rogan renewed his contract with Spotify for $250 million.

The high-value deals show that, unlike a few years ago, companies are betting on selective podcast shows rather than splurging on every other celebrity who likes to talk.
