The viral narrative TikTok series ‘Who TF Did I Marry?’ by Tareasa Johnson, who goes by Reesa Teesa, is getting a TV adaptation.
Actress Natasha Rothwell, known for her roles in The White Lotus, Insecure and How to Die Alone, will lead the project under her production banner Big Hattie Productions.
Johnson’s original TikTok series in 2023, spanning 50 videos and over eight hours, detailed her shocking discoveries about her “pathological liar” ex-husband and his deceptive behavior.
Despite her ex-husband Jerome McCoy denying the allegations, Johnson’s videos earned her over 3.6 million followers. The first part of her video series alone garnered more than 41.4 million views.
The adaptation joins a growing trend of social media stories making their way to television or film. The viral animated YouTube short series Skibidi Toilet, popular among Gen Alpha (born between the early 2010s and 2020s), is in movie talks.
