Spotify will bring its video podcasts to Netflix starting early 2026, marking a major step in its video expansion strategy.

The partnership will showcase a curated lineup of sports, culture, lifestyle, and true crime shows from Spotify Studios and The Ringer. More genres and studios will be added later.

Why it matters
Spotify aims to boost ad revenue and attract younger audiences who prefer video content.

The company now hosts over 430,000 video podcasts, with video consumption growing 20 times faster than audio-only since 2024. Over 350 million users have streamed video podcasts, up 65% in a year.

The move follows Spotify’s shift in 2023 after podcast investments failed to deliver profits.

By teaming with Netflix, Spotify hopes to expand discovery, reach new audiences, and offer creators fresh monetization opportunities through cross-platform exposure.
