Sony’s Venom: The Last Dance continued to perform well in its second weekend, bringing in over $22 million, but the new Robert Zemeckis film starring Tom Hanks and Robin Wright missed its mark.

With a $50 million budget, Here, which brings back the Forrest Gump couple after 30 years, earned just $5.15 million, well below expectations. Meanwhile, Venom’s third installment starring Tom Hardy is a huge success, with the domestic total past $90 million and global earnings now exceeding $300 million.

Universal’s animated hit The Wild Robot continues to draw crowds even six weeks in, raking in another $7.6 million to bring its North American total to $121 million and worldwide total to $269 million.

Horror sequel Smile 2 also stayed in the mix with $6.8 million and a $109.7 million global tally.

It has been a relatively quiet weekend at US theaters as the election approaches.
