A new memoir about the late Princess of Wales comes out tomorrow. Titled Swan Song: Diana, My Sister, it’s written by her younger brother, Charles Spencer.
Penguin Random House (PRH) published the book, which previously released Prince Harry’s 2023 book, Spare. It set the record for the fastest-selling nonfiction release, with 1.4 million copies sold on its first day, and went on to sell more than 6 million copies, according to PRH. It boosted the publisher’s revenue by 13.2% that year.
Lady Diana was 36 years old when she died after a tragic car accident in Paris in 1997.
Anticipation for Spencer’s book is high, underscored by the theft of advance copies from a delivery truck in the Netherlands.
Spencer said he was confident his sister would have approved of every word. He delivered the famous eulogy at her Westminster Abbey funeral.
