The ads aim to mobilize these new gun owners to protect their rights in the upcoming election

The Secure Our Freedom Alliance, a new gun rights group, is launching a six-figure ad campaign in Michigan, Pennsylvania and Wisconsin. The campaign targets 22 million Americans who became gun owners during and post-pandemic.

The ads, focusing on women and minorities, warn that the Biden administration and progressive politicians are threatening their gun rights. It shows women asserting their right to self-defence and aims to mobilize these new gun owners to protect their rights in the upcoming election.

Meanwhile, the National Rifle Association (NRA), once the dominant force in gun rights advocacy, has seen its influence and revenue decline. It cut its political spending from $54 million in 2016 to $29 million in 2020. According to AdImpact, it has just $1.3 million reserved in ad spending in 2024.
