One of the costume designers of Apple Studios’ Killers of the Flower Moon movie has sued the company for excluding her from the awards campaign and consideration, alleging retaliation for her discrimination complaints.
In the lawsuit, native American designer Kristi Marie Hoffman claims to have done most of the research and costume design for the film, but her contributions were ignored. The Costume Designers Guild and head costume designer Jacqueline West are also defendants in the suit.
West was nominated for an Academy Award for her work on the film. The costume design team also received a nomination for a Costume Designers Guild award.
