Police have released photos showing a man without a mask wanted for questioning in connection with the killing of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson.
The shooter remains unidentified and at large, but cops have learned some more details related to this week’s incident and the suspect.
According to the officials, the words “deny,” “defend”, and “depose” were written on the bullet casings found at the scene, referencing a phrase used by insurance industry critics.
Insurance companies use “deny, delay and defend” to avoid paying claims.
The police have also identified the hostel where the suspect was staying, and it is believed that he traveled to New York on a bus that originated in Atlanta.
The killing of Thompson has fueled public anger with insurance providers and their refusals of service.
