Yvonne Furneaux, known for her roles in 1960s films like La Dolce Vita, Repulsion and Le Amiche, passed away on July 5 at her home in North Hampton, N.H. She was 98.
Famous for playing sexually confident roles and characters that embraced modern, free-spirited lifestyles and complicated relationships, the British press in the 1960s sometimes called her a “tigress” of cinema. Multilingual, Furneaux starred in French, German, Italian, Spanish, and American films.
