President Joe Biden’s campaign affirmed on Friday that he will not withdraw from the 2024 presidential race after his weak performance in his first debate of the election season against Donald Trump revived concerns about his age.

While addressing supporters in North Carolina, Biden acknowledged his limitations but emphasized his experience and determination.

But diplomats are concerned.
Foreign officials across Europe, the Middle East and Asia expressed concern at the President's performance, describing it as “hard to watch.”

His shaky delivery and confusion raised doubts about his ability to lead, prompting calls within his party to reconsider his candidacy and suggesting a Democratic change before November.

Despite concerns and calls for reconsideration, his campaign reported a record $14 million fundraising haul post-debate.

Trump offered no solace either, dismissing substantive policy discussions in favor of aggressive rhetoric.
