President Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky

President Donald Trump criticized Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Wednesday for rejecting Russia’s claim to Crimea, calling the remarks “very harmful to the Peace Negotiations with Russia.”

Trump’s comments followed a downgraded peace meeting in London after Secretary of State Marco Rubio pulled out. Shortly after Trump’s post, Russian missiles hit Kyiv and Kharkiv, killing nine and injuring at least 70.

Meanwhile, Trump’s envoys are preparing for direct meetings with Russia.

Talks remain tense as Ukraine’s allies resist any deal that rewards territorial aggression. Despite setbacks, Kyiv and Moscow have signaled a rare willingness to engage in peace talks after a short Easter truce collapsed.
