Hezbollah launched around 250 rockets into Israel, injuring seven people, marking one of its heaviest attacks in months, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) reported. Some rockets reached as far as Tel Aviv on Sunday.

The attacks were in response to deadly Israeli airstrikes in Beirut. One rocket on a Lebanese army center near Tyre killed one soldier and injured 18. Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati condemned the attack as a blow to the US-led ceasefire effort.

Since the war’s escalation, over 3,700 people in Lebanon have died and 1.2 million have been displaced. In Israel, nearly 140 have died, including 90 soldiers.

The European Union urged for a ceasefire, offering $208 million to support Lebanon’s military. However, negotiations face obstacles, including disagreements over international oversight.

Separately, the Israel-Gaza ceasefire and hostage release talks have also stalled.
