COVID-19 vaccines will no longer be recommended for healthy children and expecting mothers in the US, Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr. announced yesterday.

In the video announcing the decision, RFK Jr. stated that the vaccines have been “removed from the CDC recommended immunization schedule.” FDA Commissioner Dr. Marty Makary and NIH Director Dr. Jay Bhattacharya were also present in the video.

RFK Jr. criticized the Biden administration for encouraging children to receive booster shots despite a lack of clinical evidence to support their benefits.

Experts say the shift in CDC recommendations could affect pregnant women and children, who are at higher risk of complications from COVID-19 infections.
