A federal judge in San Francisco ordered the Trump administration on Thursday to reinstate thousands of federal employees who were fired as part of DOGE’s cost-cutting measure last month.
Since President Donald Trump took office in January, over 24,000 probationary employees have been terminated. Federal judge William J. Alsup ruled that the agencies must rehire affected workers.
The federal agencies that saw job cuts include Veterans Affairs, Agriculture, Defense, Energy, Interior, and Treasury.
