A federal judge has ordered the liquidation of Alex Jones’s personal assets to help pay the $1.5 billion he owes for his false claims that the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting was a hoax.

In 2018, relatives of the victims of the Sandy Hook shooting sued Jones for defamation, who filed for bankruptcy soon after the case headed to court in 2022.

The judge also dismissed the proposed liquidation of Jones’s company, Free Speech Systems, the parent company of Infowars that declared bankruptcy along with Jones, citing that the move would serve its creditors.

The families are also entitled to the Jones’s future earnings from Infowars.
