Airbnb is doing its biggest revamp in a decade|Ivan Radic|CC BY 2.0

Travel booking company Airbnb recently introduced several new features for its booking platform.

CEO Brian Chesky calls it “the biggest change to Airbnb in a decade.”

Anticipating one of the busiest travel seasons this summer, the recent updates will ease the booking experience for customers.

The new features
The features include a new way of searching, with the app showcasing 56 categories for homes based on their style, location, or distance between the home and travel destination.

AirCover, an exclusive travel protection service for the customers, too, had some updates. It will safeguard you if your host cancels or if you feel unsafe, or if the property does not meet the expectations set during advertising.

You can even split your stay between two Airbnbs if you are planning a trip longer than a week.

The updated Airbnb app with the new features rolled out in the country on Wednesday and will reach the global platform this week.
