Former president confirmed via a tweet Sunday that he tested positive for COVID-19, reminding people to get vaccinated even as the number of cases in the country are going down.

The 44th president, 60, is “feeling fine” other than a scratchy throat. Meanwhile, former first lady Michelle Obama tested negative, he said.

The US reported around 35,000 new COVID-19 cases on average over the past week, which is less than the mid-January report with an average of around 800,000.

According to the data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the Department of Health and Human Services, the country’s death toll has now reached 965,000 and reported over 79 million confirmed cases.
