Beto O’Rourke, Texas gubernatorial candidate, Wednesday interrupted Republican Governor Greg Abbott during a press conference on the elementary school shooting in Uvalde, accusing the Governor of inaction regarding gun violence.

Interrupting the press conference where the Governor was giving updates on the shooting, O’Rourke said, “You’re offering us nothing.”

He continued shouting as he was escorted out of the room, “You are doing nothing. You are offering up nothing. You said this was not predictable. This was totally predictable when you choose not to do anything.”

O’Rourke is a Democratic candidate who constantly opposed gun violence and used his 2020 Democratic Presidential Nomination platform to impose the necessity of stricter firearm restrictions.

He was the US Representative of El Paso, Texas, when a mass shooting occurred at a Walmart outlet in 2019, killing 23 people.
