To help alleviate the country’s baby formula scarcity President Joe Biden invoked the Defense Production Act.
Suppliers and producers of baby formula ingredients will have to prioritize the supply of those ingredients to formula manufacturers before other customers who may have ordered them.
In addition, the President has ordered the agricultural and federal health departments to use DOD (Department of Defense) aircraft to pick up overseas infant formula that meets the country’s safety standards.
