President Joe Biden has directed the National Archives to turn over the Trump administration's White House visitor logs to the select committee investigating the Jan 6 attack on the Capitol. In a letter dated Tuesday, White House lawyer Dana Remus stated that Biden rejected former President Trump's argument that he could invoke executive privilege to prevent the publication of the visitor records. Remus stated in the letter that the logs need to be disclosed because "Congress has a compelling need." The United States National Archivist responded to Remus’ letter, stating that the records would be presented to the committee on March 3.
