President Joe Biden, 79, received his second COVID-19 booster dose on Wednesday.

The same day, the Biden administration rolled out a new website, COVID.gov, which would help people with masks, tests, vaccines, and treatments.

As the omicron subvariant, BA.2, has spread to more than half of the American population, Biden urged Congress for another funding to pay for current treatments and vaccinations.

The $22.5 billion will also be used to shore up the nation's preparedness for future outbreaks.

"We need to secure additional supply now," Biden said on Wednesday. If Congress refuses the additional funding, Americans may not receive free COVID vaccines this autumn, especially if a new vaccine is needed. “Congress, please act... immediately. The consequences of inaction are severe,” he stressed.
