Brian Flores, the fired head coach of the Miami Dolphins, filed a class-action lawsuit Tuesday—a move that will put his coaching career at stake—against the NFL and three of its teams, alleging racial discrimination.

According to the Pro Football Network, despite having signed a five-year contract with the team, Flores was fired as the Dolphins' head coach after three years in early January.

In the lawsuit, the ex-coach also alleged that he learnt recently through a text exchange with the New England Patriots Coach Bill Belichick that the Giants had decided to hire Brian Daboll as their new coach — three days prior Flores’ interview for that position.

Flores, who comes with more than a decade of coaching experience in the NFL, is also alleging the Dolphins offered him $100,000 a game his first season to “tank” so the club could secure the top draft pick.
