The country witnessed a second mass shooting of the weekend on Sunday when a 60-year-old unidentified suspect opened fire in a Southern California church during a lunch banquet.

According to the authorities, the shooting claimed the life of one and wounded five, before churchgoers detained the suspect and hog-tied him.

Close to 40 members were present at the Geneva Presbyterian Church in Laguna Woods. The suspect is under arrest, Orange County Undersheriff Jeff Hallock told a news conference.
