Johnny Depp, on Wednesday, said his ex-wife Amber Heard used to beat him, as the actor testified in a defamation case against Heard. Depp recalled his days of marriage with Heard in the Virginia Courtroom saying, “she has a need for violence.”
He informed the jurors that he would remove himself from heated arguments, locking himself in a bedroom or bathroom.
Depp’s career: Has the ship already sailed?
Depp, one of the A-list actors in Hollywood, portrayed leading roles in world-famous franchises and critically-acclaimed movies. But the actor’s career was dragged through the mud by Heard’s accusation.
Depp said Heard's allegations cost him "nothing less than everything." Depp was removed from the “Fantastic Beasts” franchise, and the subsequent installment of his most acclaimed “Pirates of the Caribbean” movie went into hiatus.
Upcoming testimonies: Elon Musk and James Franco
Depp accused Elon Musk and James Franco of having an affair with his ex-wife while they were still married.
He alleged that Musk had a three-way affair with Heard and model-actress Cara Delevingne in Depp and Heard's apartment while he had gone on a shoot. Elon Musk has denied allegations.
The hearing is expected to last another month, with testimonies from Tesla CEO Elon Musk and American actor James Franco for Heard in the upcoming days.
The "Pirates" franchise star, 58, is suing Heard, 35, for $50 million after she accused him of abuse.
