Dolly Parton announced Monday she will be removing herself from the nominations for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 2022.

One of America’s most beloved stars and country music legends posted on her social media accounts that she was thankful for the nominations, but she didn’t think she had “earned that right,” and didn't want to split the votes.

Parton, 76, was nominated alongside 17 other rock & roll stars including Lionel Richie Devo, Kate Bush, Eminem and Rage Against the Machine.
