North Korea is under lockdown. Until a few days back, the country claimed zero COVID-19 cases but is now reporting a massive outbreak with 1.2 million people displaying COVID-like symptoms, including fever.

According to Pyongyang officials, 50 people have died.

It is worth noting that with no vaccination and struggling health facilities, a COVID-19 outbreak can prove disastrous to the Kim regime.

On Sunday, the isolated state’s leader, Kim Jong Un, pointed out that drug reserves were not reaching the population. The army medical corps is to help stabilize supplies in Pyongyang—the epicenter of the outbreak.
