The first labor union at Amazon has demanded the company start bargaining in early May.

In a letter issued on Twitter, the workers of the country’s second-largest private employer asked the company to halt any changes to the employment terms at their warehouse in Staten Island.

The newly found Amazon Labor Union also requested that the employer respect workers’ rights during disciplinary meetings.

Amazon did not respond to the demands immediately but said it might file an objection before the election result is validated.
