Florida’s House of Representatives, in a party-line 78-39 vote, passed a bill on Wednesday to ban abortions after 15 weeks of pregnancy. The new law offers an exemption to the 15-week threshold only when the mother is in imminent danger of death or irreversible physical impairment, or when the fetus has a fatal anomaly. Similar legislatures that prevent access to late-term abortions for women were also passed in the Arizona Senate and West Virginia’s House of Delegates recently.
