16-year-old Indian teen Rameshbabu Praggnanandhaa stunned the world by defeating Chess World No.1 Magnus Carlsen in the 2022 Meltwater Champions Chess Tour. Praggnanandhaa, nicknamed Pragg, stayed composed throughout the match and claimed his victory over Carlsen in only 39-moves. Pragg has now become the youngest player to defeat Carlsen after the Norwegian chess champ was crowned World Champion in 2013. Pragg’s defeat of Carlsen came right after the former faced three straight losses leading up to the match, while Carlsen came into the game after three straight victories.
