A New York court has concluded that former Alaska governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin's libel case against the NY Times will be dismissed due to a lack of evidence. Ms. Palin claimed the publication defamed her by associating her with a 2011 shooting that resulted in the death of three persons while injuring a U.S. congressman. The judge, however, has stated that he would allow the jury to deliberate on a verdict in the case before it is dismissed. Ms. Palin is expected to counter her conviction via an appeal.
