Cryptocurrency seems to be gaining traction in the luxury world as Gucci takes the lead with crypto in the luxury brand market.

The iconic Italian luxury brand will accept cryptocurrency payments from customers by the end of May.

Customers at select outlets in New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta and Las Vegas will be able to pay via cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin, Bitcoin Cash, Ethereum, Wrapped Bitcoin, Litecoin, and Shiba Inu.

Ten ‘stable’ cryptocurrencies linked to the US Dollar can be used in their directly controlled stores.

Significance

Since Gucci is a leading global luxury brand with a strong foothold in the US markets, other brands will likely follow soon.

If you have access to Bitcoin or Ethereum, you might see a wider range of transaction opportunities down the line for other brands.
