Moskva, the flagship of Russia's Black Sea Fleet, has sunk after sustaining severe damage. Interestingly, Russia and Ukraine have different versions of the story.

According to Russian state media, the ship sustained a fire that caused an ammunition explosion that made the ship sink amid stormy seas.

Ukraine claims Moskova was hit by Neptune anti-ship missiles, causing significant damage to the ship and making it sink.

This is a heavy blow for Russia and a ground-breaking moment for Ukraine as the Soviet-era Moskva symbolizes Russia’s military power.

Kyiv experienced powerful explosions after sinking the Russian warship
Ukraine barely had time to breathe after claiming responsibility for destroying Moskva. On Friday, explosions were heard in Kyiv, and fighting raged in east Ukraine.

No immediate reports of damage or destruction were reported in Kyiv following the heavy bombardment by Russian Forces.
