Former Manhattan prosecutor, Mark Pomerantz who was part of the criminal investigation on Donald Trump and his business practices stated in his resignation letter that Trump is indeed “guilty of numerous felony violations.”

The prosecutor resigned after Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg halted the investigation of an indictment against the former President.

The 70-year old former federal prosecutor came out of his retirement to investigate Trump's organization, but gave his resignation letter on February 23—the same day as another senior prosecutor leading the investigation, Carey R. Dunne, handed in her resignation letter.

What did Pomerantz mention in his letter?
Pomerantz mentioned in his letter that he believed Trump did commit the felony crimes. The former prosecutor wrote, “The team that has been investigating Mr. Trump harbors no doubt about whether he committed crimes — he did.”

What’s next for the investigation?
Following District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s sudden halt on the investigation and the resignation of the leading investigators has put the future investigation in question. If the investigation were a success, Donald Trump would have been the first American President to face criminal charges.
