Elizabeth Warren, the first woman to ever get elected to the Massachusetts Senate said she will run for the Presidential elections in 2024.
In a Politico interview, the 71-year-old Democrat Senator expressed that she intends to run for reelection in 2024.
Warren: The face of Democrats
Senator Warren has become the leading voice of democrats on recent issues like the leaked Supreme Court draft on abortion rights and the student loan debts.
Warren’s stand against overturning the abortion rights has gained recognition for the Senator—the speech she delivered in support of abortion activists last week went viral.
She can also be considered a catalyst for the White House’s decisions from extending the halt on student loan payments to forgiving between $10,000 and $50,000 per student.
Public opinion
Voicing issues that directly impact the American public would likely help Senator Warren gain the public's support. According to Bloomberg, around 60% of the country’s young voters would be more likely to vote for a Democratic candidate this midterm election, if the Biden Administration eliminates some or all of federal student loan debt.
