Moderna seeks FDA approval for second COVID booster for adults|Wuestenigel|CC BY 2.0

The fear from the surge in COVID-19 cases in parts of the world led pharmaceutical and biotechnology company Moderna to pursue the FDA for emergency permission for their second COVID-19 booster shot.

The authorization request is for adults above 18 years of age. It is a  wider request than Pfizer, which requested the second booster for people above 65.
