Activision Blizzard and Bobby Kotick, the company’s CEO, are facing a fresh lawsuit by New York City.
As per Axios, the lawsuit filed by New York City Employees’ Retirement System (NYCERS) alleges that Kotick was trying to escape the misconduct liability when he sold the company to Microsoft.
According to the public version of the suit, “Given Kotick’s personal responsibility and liability for Activision’s broken workplace, it should have been clear to the Board that he was unfit to negotiate a sale of the Company.”
NYCERS owns Activision stock and demands that the company share documents of the deal with Microsoft.
