The Oscars continue to face criticism following their decision to not hand out awards for eight categories during the live telecast of the event. Twitterati soon took to the web to share their disappointment with the hashtag “#PresentAll23”, calling out the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts and Sciences. The eight categories are to include Original Score, Makeup and Hairstyling, Documentary Short, Film Editing, Production Design, Animated Short, Live-Action Short, and Sound Design. Variety magazine reported that the eight skipped categories will be awarded at the Dolby Theatre an hour before the live telecast on March 27, and will be recorded and included with the live broadcast. The Academy's President, David Rubin, addressed a comprehensive letter to members stating that the Oscars will be handed out alphabetically, with the exception of "Best Picture," which will be the last award of the night.
