US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin Monday said nearly 50 world defense leaders have agreed to send highly advanced weapons to Ukraine.

Over 20 countries have agreed to send weapon assistance to Ukraine, including Denmark’s Harpoon launcher and missiles to defend the coast.

Secretary Austin declined to confirm if the US would send the requested high-tech mobile rocket launchers.

US troops in Ukraine?
General Mark Milley, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, said the US is still “a ways away” from sending the US troops back to the war-torn country, and a “low-level” discussion is in process.

The US withdrew its troops from Ukraine before the war, but General Milley’s comments foreshadow a possibility of sending back the troops for embassy security.

Kyiv’s US embassy is partially functional and is currently increasing its staff, leading to questions on re-introducing the troops for defensive purposes.

Ultimately, the President would be the decision-maker for sending back the troops.
