A week after eight current and former PlayStation employees alleged misconduct at the company, Sony—in a recent filing—acknowledges that it takes such allegations “seriously”.
This is Sony’s first acknowledgement of the claims since they came to light.
Sony was sued by Emma Majo, a former IT security analyst at Sony PlayStation, in November 2021, alleging gender discrimination and wrongful termination.
As reported by Axios, Sony doesn’t want a legal fight with Majo but expects the case to be dismissed. The company said it values women workers and will take proactive steps to ensure they will grow and be heard.
On Sony’s request, a hearing to dismiss the case is set for mid-April.
