President Joe Biden will be speaking with China’s President Xi Jinping by 9 am EST today. Biden is expected to forewarn Xi that China would face “costs” if the country aids Russia for the sanctions imposed.
What else the US has in store for Russia?
The Republican Senators introduced a bill to ban the import of Russian Uranium to the US.
The introduction of the bill is followed by the sanctions imposed on Rosatom—a major Russian nuclear power company that supplies fuel and technology to power plants around the world.
This ban on US imports of Russian resources like oil and liquefied natural gas does not yet include uranium.
Sanctions on crypto
The Democratic Senators did their part by proposing the Digital Asset Sanctions Compliance Act on Thursday, a bill to impose sanctions on cryptocurrency companies having business ties with Russian organizations.
