President Joe Biden on Tuesday asked the voters to protect abortion rights by promoting candidates who stand for women’s rights and privacy in the upcoming elections in November.
Criticizing the leaked Supreme Court draft, Biden pointed out that overturning Roe v. Wade could create a domino effect and may also threaten the right to same-sex marriage, recognized in 2015.
While talking to the reporters, Biden said, "It would mean that every other decision relating to the notion of privacy is thrown into question."
According to a draft Supreme Court decision that leaked on Monday, several justices are ready to overturn the Roe v. Wade decision of 1973 that protects abortion rights. SCOTUS confirmed the document’s authenticity on Tuesday.
