Ukrainian officials on Wednesday informed that Russian troops have intensified bombing on Kyiv and Chernihiv, despite agreeing to move some troops from certain cities on Tuesday talks.

The mayor of Chernihiv, Vladyslav Atroshenko said the intense bombing wounded 25 people. 

The fact stressed by the Pentagon that this retreat of Russian troops would be more of a repositioning strategy has drawn attention—as intelligence from a UK source updated that some Russian units are reorganizing and resupplying in Russia and Belarus.  

US to provide an additional $500 million in aid to Ukraine

On a call with Ukrainian President  Volodymyr Zelensky, President Joe Biden informed him that the US intends to provide an additional $500 million to aid the war-torn country as direct budgetary aid.

The leaders also discussed the attempts by America and its allies to provide economic, military and humanitarian assistance.

Following Russia’s intensified attacks on Kyiv, despite agreeing to scale down their military activity - President Biden has informed the news to President Zelensky through the call.
